If you’re new, welcome! I recently re-branded and am excited to bring authenticity back. I wrote in my last post I’m a truth-teller in a fake world. It’s not a popular attribute, but I’m tired of apologizing for being honest. I call myself Kingdom Minded, which means I don’t just have a relationship with God through Jesus but try to live as Christ did when He was here the first time. I desire to speak the truth in love. Sometimes I miss the mark. Still, I know it’s time to be honest.
It’s a short month but boy is it active. Things seem to change so fast. Take the weather. Just today in Ohio it was 40 and pouring rain. A mere three hours later I left church and it was 31 and snowing. The ground was covered. As I type this in the evening, we have a couple inches and it’s snowing hard.
I titled this Vitamins, Blake Lively, and Keyboard Christians because that seems to summarize this month. Let me explain.
Vitamins
Last week I heard from friends who either have or know someone who has Flu A, strep, norovirus, bronchitis, or a fever virus with a lot of sinus congestion. It’s been such a sickly winter and it affects all age groups. I titled this “Vitamins” because I have not been sick. Last year I was, but finally received a diagnosis of chronic bronchitis and severe allergies. With daily meds and inhalers, I have felt fantastic.
Same for this winter. I used to tease my mom for all her supplements but she didn’t have an issue until she was 75, and it was attributed to smoking for decades. I started taking vitamins not long after my hysterectomy because I’ve felt volcanic hot since my first pregnancy. Menopause support has been key. With those supplements, I added magnesium.
After 2020, my friend ended up in the hospital because she had compromised lungs from a house fire. The doctor told her that a daily dose of zinc, D, and Quercetin would go far for her. My lungs aren’t much better, and our daughter has issues as well.
Our daughter has endocrine issues that put her at high risk for illness. She remains a “C-vid unicorn.”
I too have not had a stomach virus, fever, strep, or flu in years. So, I’m thankful for my health this month. Thanks, God, and vitamins!
Blake Lively
I am invested in this saga for a few reasons. One, I really enjoyed Ryan Reynolds. Two, I have a minor in PR and I love to break apart PR maneuvers. This is full of PR twists and turns.
I’ll spare the details because Candace Owens and Tik Tok’s Bee Better have done an amazing job. Through their research, I no longer call myself a Ryan Reynolds fan.
Blake? Girl. Be quiet. Seriously. STOP TALKING. It’s obvious she’s ignoring all wise counsel because with every release out of the Lively camp, the woman only proves she’s not only a mean girl, she should face legal consequences.
Her SH claims ruined a man. That’s why I wasn’t all in for the Me Too movement. There’s too many wounded women out there who cry wolf. Are they a minority? Yes. There are so many victims out there.
But Blake’s shenanigans only scare true female victims further into darkness for fear they will not be believed. I’m a justice girl and not only should Justin Baldoni collect every cent, I’d like her to wear orange florals to her jail time.
She also bragged about taking movie footage to show a group without permission. That seems like stealing to me. Put a fork in Blake. She’s done.
Keyboard Christians
If I thought Blake’s drama would ignite feelings, boy this month has got me feeling big when it comes to my brothers and sisters in Christ. Not the radical left, I expect them to have a strong reaction to what is happening with the new administration. My beef is with the Christians who are running to the keyboard to tear down instead of build up.
Let me back up. What I’m seeing across social media are Christians who are shocked at the choices President Trump has made in cabinet and investigations through DOGE. I’m all for agreeing to disagree. If that were the case, you do you. I’m not mad.
But those who pepper their cover photos with Scripture and their recent posts include forms with signatures noting how demonic Trump/Musk are or spew hateful things about what is going on, I don’t get it.
Again, I’m not coming for anyone who doesn’t agree with what’s going on. But if someone prides their social media self on their faith and are basically writing in blood calling for the same, that’s not cool. It’s also not Godly. '
So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding. Romans 4:19, ESV
Feeling confused or angry about life around you I understand. Go to God with it. But as a Christian for a length of time, it isn’t right to first go to Facebook and create posts that tear anyone down or bring division or hate.
I’m shocked by how much I’m seeing this. Again, Christians. Not the left, not someone who doesn’t have faith. The WWJD keyboard warriors. Do better.

This is a fun place for me to share, but the bulk of my writing life is fiction. I write small-town romances that feature Christian surrender themes and chocolate mentions. I recently celebrated ten years and have ten books. My older books are available through digital booksellers and the library app Hoopla. My current series, Surrendering Hearts, Anchored Hearts and Repairing Hearts, are at Amazon and are Free KU.
This year I add Building Hearts to the series, Evan’s story, and Clean Sweep, a November release. This is part of the Dogwood Creek Matchmaker series featuring Leah Atwood, Robin Bayne, Joann Durgin, Dawn Kinzer, Lisa Prysock, Lori Soard, and me.
